The teachings we follow

Jeshuaists made up their name from the man they are following as their main teacher, the Nazarene rebbe Jeshua. It are his teachings which guide us through our life. We believe that Jeshua was authorised to speak in the Name of Jehovah God. Being the sent one from God he, like previous other prophets, came to tell what his heavenly Father wanted from this world and what His Plans are.

The rebbe based his teachings on the ancient scrolls (first part of the Book of books) we are taking as our guide too. That Book of books, the Bible is now made up of 66 books according to the traditional Christian reckoning, consisting of the Hebrew Scriptures (the Torah, Prophets, and Writings; cf. Luke 24:44) and the Apostolic or Messianic Scriptures (the Gospels, Epistles, and Revelation).

For Jeshuaists it are not just the Old Hebrew writings that count, but we also take into account the Kethuvim Bet or Messianic writings and as such follow the teachings and guidance given from Genesis to the Revelation of John, which we consider to be inspired by the Elohim Hashem Jehovah, and authoritative over the lives of followers of Jeshua (cf. 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The Scriptures are real literature and must be interpreted via the historical and grammatical method. Therefore, our goal is to exegete the Scripture so that we discover the meaning the original author intended and the meaning the original reader would have understood.

We recognize the value of historic Jewish and Christian tradition and literature. All tradition, however, must be measured against the Holy Scripture and anything that contradicts the Scripture should be rejected.
