“Mark 7:7 ‘And in vain do they worship ME, teaching as doctrines the commands of men.’
Jeshua is talking to the Pharisees who do not recognize him as Messiah.
Jeshua is not teaching he is God.
Jeshua’s teaching in Mark 7.6-8 cannot be construed as “saying (Jeshua) is God”!
In this passage Jeshua quotes Isaiah who quotes HaShem: “He (Jeshua) said to them (i.e., his fellow P’rusheem/Pharisees) and the scribes or Torah-teachers),
‘Isaiah [29.13] prophesied rightly about you hypocrites, as it is written, “[The MASTER/LORD/HaShem said]: ‘These people [have drawn close with their mouth and] with their lips they have honored Me (the Creator Who is speaking), but it has distanced their heart from Me (HaShem); their fear/worship of Me (the Creator) is like rote learning of (useless) human commands.’
” Then Yeshua continues, “You (hypocrites) abandon the commandment of God, and you hold to human tradition.”
Today those who believe Jeshua is God are those who prefer to keep to human tradition and the false teaching of the Trinity, even not accepting God His Own Words that the Nazarene is a son of man and the only begotten beloved son of God.
