Husband to an ancient nation

We should look at the Most High Elohim, how He had chosen Himself a set-apart (or holy) people. Also in the parable of the Wedding banquet, mentioned in Matthew 22, we hear how He as the king invited His people. Because many did no go into His invitation He sent out His servants to invite goyim, giving them an opportunity to come to the marriage of His only begotten son, Jeshua.

Jehovah also referred to Himself as being like a husband to that ancient nation. (Isa. 54:5; 62:4) What a difficult “marriage” that proved to be! Yet, Jehovah was not quick to give up on it. He repeatedly showed mercy toward the nation and loyalty to his covenant with them. (Ps. 106:43-45)

Are we not drawn to Jehovah by such loyal love?
