Since the construction of the separation barrier in the West Bank, running partly along or near the 1949 Jordanian–Israeli armistice line (“Green Line”) suicide bombings have decreased, Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Hamas, and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad have been less able to conduct attacks in Israel, which have decreased in areas where the barrier has been completed, but other violence increased.
We all know that there are extreme levels of threats surrounding Israel, but that may not make us blind for certain actions been taken over there.
Beyond the Cusp, an opinion and viewpoint blog on politics, world events, predictions, and life writes
Many of these fronts can be traced back to Iran, but more on that after we give measure to some of the realities. Through polls, random samplings and quotes given by people in Gaza we know that they are amongst the most anti-Zionist, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic of populations on the planet. They are even more hateful than the population of Jordan, the nation which usually outpolls all other Arab and Muslim nations in all three areas. This would make Gaza the world leader if it were to be considered a nation. {The Whole and Ugly Reality Surrounding Israel}
as we made clear in chapter 5 this is counter proven by many signals we can get from the place delict.
The writers of that website clearly do not like Palestinians and find that Gaza is a nation run by Hamas which should simply be called Hamasistan. They utter
Israel lives on what could easily be called a knife’s edge, but our balance is good and we make do with the hand we have chosen. We realize this and accept it as part of the package of reclaiming our homelands. {The Whole and Ugly Reality Surrounding Israel}
Saying this we wonder if they also understand several parts of the land are also the homeland of certain Palestinians or Arabs, their family having lived there for ages.
It is understandable that Hebrew people love to find their ancient homelands where the twelve tribes were originally mapped out, but question is how this can be realised and if that has to go with so much violence. It may look promising when we read
There are groups of Israelis who desire for the Temple to be rebuilt and believe it will occur within their lifetimes. The Arab, Christian, Muslim, Bahia, Buddhist and other religions all live here with complete equality and enjoy all the freedoms and privileges which all Israeli citizens enjoy. {The Whole and Ugly Reality Surrounding Israel}
But than we also see an other side of the coin
One need understand that the Palestinians have their own governances, in Gaza, it is Hamas and in the PA regions, it is Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah. They are responsible for their own laws and when to hold elections, which by all measures is never. Israel relented on such control long ago and the presumed occupation by Israel has nothing to do with the lives of the Palestinian Arabs, it has to do with everyone else. {The Whole and Ugly Reality Surrounding Israel}
Many of the Israeli citizens, whose primary language or linguistic heritage is Arabic, often identify as Palestinian and commonly self-designate themselves as Palestinian citizens of Israel or Israeli Palestinians. The Arab population in 2013 was estimated at 1,658,000, representing 20.7% of the country’s population. Many having family ties to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. Negev Bedouins [traditionally pastoral nomadic Arab tribes (Bedouin) living in the Negev (desert and semidesert region of southern Israel) region of Israel, adhering to Islam] and the Druze (unitarian esoteric ethnoreligious group) tend to identify more as Israelis than other Arab citizens of Israel.
The occupation is the sheer existence of Israel and her people. When the surrounding Arabs and Muslims claim they want to end the occupation, they mean Israel, not their own miserable governance. When you hear the word occupation, hear Israel and then you will understand exactly for what they are screaming. They are screaming for the end of Israel as that is the only land we “occupy” and that is what causes them so much anger. The reality of the situation is that easy to interpret, replace “occupation” with “Israel” and it all becomes clear and makes sense. It really is that simple. {The Whole and Ugly Reality Surrounding Israel}
Too many Christians and Jews have forgotten that God has developed His own peace plan, and that man’s peace plan for the region differs greatly, though he shall have to learn it shall have to happen on God His terms, and cruelty and hate do not fit in the Adonai’s Plan. Those who really love Allah/God (the God above all gods) should know that the Most High Maker never breaks His covenant or promises He has made with His people.
The Olive Branch Report writes
The Israel of God are those who love and fear Him, and serve the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who God has renamed Israel (Genesis 35:10-12).
Israel is Gods inheritance and the day will come when Israel will be by prophecy the third party with Egypt and Assyria as they will be a blessing in the land! (Isaiah 19:23-25). {Why Are We To Support Israel?}
In the Bible we can find a very short but important prophecy book, the book of Joel, filled with apocalyptic imagery and phrases, recording historical events over two thousand years ago and pointing to the future Day of God, just before the return of Christ Jesus at the time of the Second Coming. In chapter 3 in the first verse, the Elohim, through the prophet declares:
“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem…” Joel 3:1
It is thought that Joel was written around 900 years before Jeshua the Christ or Kristos. In recent years, 3000 years later, we have been able to see God’s hand at work fulfilling this prophecy . The Jewish people, who despite being scattered from their homeland by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago, retained their cultural identity and in recent times have been regathered to their land. They declared the independence of the state of Israel in 1948, 70 years ago. They obtained control of Jerusalem after the ‘Six Day’ war in 1967.
In the Scriptures we are told that the Elohim Hashem Jehovah shall restore Israel in order to then bring the nations against them, Him pleading with them for His people and His heritage, Israel.
Looking at the prophesies made in the Scriptures we should know that the people of Israel are set to become the centre of an international controversy, a matter we can see today coming into realisation. We are told that the People of God will be attacked by the nations. Today we are not only seeing Israel and the Jews under attack, but also the real followers of Jeshua the Christ, the non-trinitarian Christians. Though attack from all directions those who trust God and want to walk in His ways may come to see that God will act in defence of His people. Jews as well as other people should know that God’s Voice still sounds over the earth and that It has to be taken seriously. those who love the Most High God should have eyes and ears and a tongue to use in good ways and should not proceed to use violence or to act against the Will of God. Having put our hope on God we should find peace of mind, unperturbed, with confidence trusting that everything shall turn out like God wants it.
Joel 3:16-17 (TS98)
16 And יהוה shall roar from Tsiyon, and give forth His voice from Yerushalayim. And the heavens and earth shall shake, but יהוה shall be a refuge for His people, and a stronghold for the children of Yisra’ĕl. 17 “Then you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim, dwelling in Tsiyon, My set-apart mountain. And Yerushalayim shall be set-apart, and foreigners shall not pass through her again.
These things then that have been revealed to any who wish to understand the Creators purpose. He will use this coming conflict in order that people will know Him. therefore those who love God should let the world know about God His Plans and should preach the coming Kingdom of God.
The many actions we see Israel undertaking now may indicate that lots of people in Israel either do not know or do not want to know about God His Plan and His Way of doing things or (worse) do not currently know Him. They, like others, shall be taken by surprise ans shall come to see that the Messiah shall be coming to reign and to dwell in Jerusalem which will become the capital city of the Kingdom of God on earth, under his kingship. At that time Jeshua (Jesus) and his faithful followers will be
“kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth”. (Revelation 5:10)
Meanwhile people shall perhaps try out lots of way to organise their own governments as well as interfere with the constitution of a State of Israel.
The award-winning author, Professor of Economics (Emeritus) at the University of Ottawa, Director of the Centre for Research on Globalization (CRG) and Editor of globalresearch.ca. Michel Chossudovsky wrote in 2011
While a US-NATO military intervention in the immediate future seems highly unlikely, Syria is nonetheless on the Pentagon’s military roadmap, namely an eventual war on Syria has been contemplated both by Washington and Tel Aviv.
If it were to occur, at some future date, it would lead to escalation. Israel would inevitably be involved. The entire Middle East Central Asian region from the Eastern Mediterranean to the Chinese-Afghan border would flare up. {Syria: Who is Behind The Protest Movement? Fabricating a Pretext for a US-NATO “Humanitarian Intervention”}
Today we can see the implication of an Europe and the rest of the world not reacting soon enough against the bickering in Syria, bringing a whole region to become a controversial issue. The rest of the world seemed also to long silent or too nice to Israel when it could see the super exploitation and humiliation of the Palestinians as the “other”. Now they face a vexed question where not many feel prepared to take out the hot potato out of the fire.
Steve Cohen (ZT”L) wrote in 1984 a booklet against anti-Semitism and says
It seems to me that one of the things that is happening is that whatever the fundamental political distinction between anti Semitism and anti Zionism (a distinction I see as absolute) yet on an emotional and existential level the two have become hopelessly intertwined — and this itself is political. Something else which is happening is the confirmation as far as I’m concerned of a political analysis of anti-Semitism which in my naivety, strikes me as obvious but which I’ve never seen articulated anywhere else. {There Must Be Some Way Out of Here + Steve Cohen’s ‘That’s Funny, You Don’t Look Anti-Semitic’}
For him it seems equally undeniable that Zionism in its inception was anti-racist. He says
It was a reaction against, a way of dealing with, European anti-Semitism. Maybe as a revolutionary socialist writing in Prestwich in 2005 it would not be my way. However as a Jew of whatever political persuasion in Europe after the coming to power of Hitler in 1933 or the defeat of the revolution in Spain in 1939 I may well have had a different position. And if fascism ever took over here and Jews were barred entry elsewhere then I guess I might take a different position. I empathise with the “bolt hole” theory of Zionism. I appreciate the significance of the remarks by Isaac Deutscher, the Polish Marxist ex-rabbi, who wrote in later life
“In this controversy (between socialism and Zionism) Zionism has scored a horrible victory, one of which it could neither wish nor expect; six million Jews had to perish in Hitler’s gas chambers in order that Israel should come to life … If instead of arguing against Zionism in the 1920s and 1930s I had urged European Jewry to go to Palestine, I might have saved some of the lives that were later extinguished in Hitler’s gas chambers” (Israel’s Spiritual Climate). I take it as axiomatic that any revolutionary of that pre-war period would have fought for the absolute right of Jews to enter Palestine. To have argued otherwise, to have argued for immigration controls, would have meant support for the British Mandate whose army tried to prevent entry. However the tenets of revolutionary socialism (tenets to which I still hold even in these days of Blair, Bush, Sharon and … Bin Laden) would demand that entry into the then Palestine would/should have lead to an attempt to forge an alliance between Jewish workers and Palestinian workers and peasants against the Zionist leadership, the absentee Palestinian landlords and the British soldiery. Of course the task would have been enormous. But the failure of that historic task has lead to what we have today — Israel the perpetual blood bath. {There Must Be Some Way Out of Here + Steve Cohen’s ‘That’s Funny, You Don’t Look Anti-Semitic’}
